I am a soul without companion, me, myself, and I alone
The sanctum of my mind the only place that I can call home
In the darkness of my oblique and silent eternity
I am waiting for the clarity of wakefulness to return to me
I am utterly alone in my self imposed solitude
Wishing that I could float through life like the clouds do
I rage against the bleakness of a common mind set
The war I rage has lasted for millenia not counted yet
I am at war with all the vices of the simple humanity
Raging against the soldier implements of its machinery
My weaponry is not conceived by the mind of man
I am general, captain, and soldier in an army of one man
I flicker through the days of fading amber sunlight
And slink swiftly through the darkness of fierce midnight
I am alone except for the constant battles I wage
The years have gone by with no account for age
My soul, is burning, burning, burning from within
A life buried in death, deceit, and mortal sin
Gaze at me, and look into my burning eyes
For that is where the reason for this war resides
My soul is locked in this hated, God forsaken case
My intelligence a travesty, the brilliance a total waste
The stunted growth of an entire populations intelligence
Hours of moronic distraction invade and infect every residence
The bloodshed tells the tale of all that I wish to annihilate
But the conflict has no end in site, how long will this take?
I am alone in this war, the weight I hold impossible to share
The tilting scales silently shift the load I bare
Allies are nowhere to be found on this desolate field
My strength is failing my arm drops this heavy shield
Now naked to the world is my vulnerable frame
Soul engulfed by the secrets of ravenous flame
There is not one among the masses with whom I can share my pain
The greater part of my mind is sliding towards the insane
Slowly I feel my strength ebb and fade away
I can feel the embrace of Death calling me to the grave
But yet and still I hack and savage my way through
This is all I know, the only thing I can possibly do
But there is a simple question I have for you:
When in the world will this war be through?

The Fight.
He had come.
The beast had finally arrived....
But the advantage was his and the fear was mine.
His massive frame deadly claws with venomous grime on the tips
Inhumane strength and sinuous limbs....
His gigantic head with dark violet glowing eyes
The long gnashing teeth that had destroyed many lives
But I swore to myself to avenge their death
But I felt myself gag when i smelled his fetid breath
The rancid stench that blew in the wind
Was enough to make my armored head spin
With a raucous laugh he approached
"Oh little warrior won't you come close?"
With fire in my eyes and some in my heart
I replied "Foul demon i will rip you apart!"
Again he laughed this time it was more like a roar
"we shall see who will kill whom at the end of the score"
With this said he threw himself in my direction
But i warded off his first blow by turning my shield to reflect him
At first i was quick and strong going blow for blow
But soon he wore me down and my heart began to know
His onslaught relentless, my stamina waning
His every attack intent on mortally maiming
I knew that somehow I must stop him here
But I couldn't seem to get my mind in gear
So I dug down deep within myself
And I knew within for certain that I needed help
And as the beast drew near for his final assault
I lifted my head to the heavens and called out to God
"Dear God, I know that you haven't always been first in my Life
But I am calling out and asking you to send angels to my side,
for this Beast is stealing my strength and destroying my fortitude
I am calling out in all sincerity and asking you
To destroy it as I know only you can
For I know that I am nothing more than a mortal man
My weapons are to no avail and my abilities give me no ground."
Then from the thunder streaked sky there came a sound
It was the voice of god and he simply replied
"My son that is all I asked of you to look to the skies"
Then from the heavens above their flew on wings of light angels two
Arrayed in shining armor their frames blazing bright and true
At the sound of His voice the Beast had stuttered to a hault
In his eyes I could see the fear that he was caught
At the sight of the avengers away in terror he fled
He could not escape even as fast as he sped
With righteous justice upon him they fell
After that there is no more to tell
I say that to say this: when times are rough and you look deep within
And you can't see your own light that you keep hidden
look up to the skies for they will give you hope
And it is on this I believe count and know
That there is someone higher than myself
And when the Beast comes calling just call on Him for help
He has saved me many times and I am grateful to have him in my Life

On My Mind...
It's funny to me... i never thought I could have you in my life
But it seems as if one day you could be my wife
You're SO amazing to me, your attitude and personality
That you're choosing me has me in disbelief
It's so crazy. A girl like you I searched for high and low
But you were there all along, little did I know
We both have had such heartache and sorrow causing grief
But our relationship can last if you have belief
Already I can see we have such a strong bond
Do you think it could be you and me for a life time long?
To protect you I'm ready to give up my life and die
With a little love and some patience we can last a life time
Everyone says that I can do better but I think that you're the best

What Am I?
I am the war widow
I am the newly made orphan
I am the aborted unborn child
I am the life changing accident
I am the hit and run victim
I am the gun shot victim
I am the unsolved murder victim
I am the mother of children taken by the streets
I am the victim of rape
I am the man who has lost everything
I am the molested 3 year-old
I am the promising young man who has been killed
I am the overdosed addict
I am the family left behind
I am the fatherless child
I am the victim of domestic abuse
I am sad infinite
I am the suicidal teen
I am depression
I am the loss of hope
I am the lost
I am the tired of living
i AM tragedy
Where I strike only pain is left behind
But where there is pain there is strength
For with weakness comes strength
Without tragedy there is no life
For Life is filled with tragedy and it is up to us to become stronger with pain

What is up with nobody valuing the gifts they've been given?
Weed, girls, guys and clubs; that's the standard for living?
We live in a society where average is good enough
Everybody wants to be smoking that green stuff
nobody respects anybody anymore
Any door with brains behind it is a closed door
We got to reach higher to reach for that thing out of reach
Parents need to stop sitting idly by and start to teach
What happened to us?
Knowledge is power is what I learned
Excellence in the streets is excellence ill earned
Fast cash, fast ass fast won't last.
There's too much friction for this dangerous way we living
AIDS and HIV are rampant. The epidemic is raging
Statistics are coming true, more and more of us are being taken
Jails and cemeteries are filling up
People are scared to even hope things are going to start looking up
What happened to us?
These drugs and alcohol aren't good for us or anyone else
To love others first you've gotta love yourself
Love and life are becoming less precious
Come on people we've got to get serious
What can we expect for our children if we don't want anything for ourselves?
The world is dieing what will be left for the future?
What out the front door and someone may shoot you?
Stop snitchin? Not me I value my life
How can we live to together if we live in strife?
What happened to us?
Stop idolizing these idiots on the corners
The way they live has got nothing for you
They aren't going to make it but if you try you can
United we're falling when before united we would stand
They aren't soldiers they're cowards
They waste their life scared if they'll make it through the next 12 hours
Girls with promise waste it on these so called thugs
These dudes are afraid f jobs where they'll need coffee mugs
What happened to us?
Nine-to-five that's the life for me
Stop. Look around. What do you see?
Depression and desperation and desolation
That's the new fade across the nation
Come on people we need a battle cry
I'm ready to go to war for my beliefs I'm ready to die
Because I don't believe I'm ready to die
Because I don't believe in drugs or alcohol
As one we've got to take control of this tragic situation
What happened to us?
We are descended from queens and kings
Now we aren't worthy to hold royal things
Before there was pride and glory
Now every life is becoming a tragic horror story
I don't know about you but I must make a stand
My life and my nieghborhood back I will demand!
Nobody should live in fear
together we can fix what is broken here
What happened to us?
Take my advice and do something with your life
You can dream safely for one night
You've got to take a step into these educational institutions
Everyone needs to take a step back and survey the situations
We've dug ourselves a hole an don't know how to get out of it!
There's still time we still have a chance to fix this!
It's up to you how the story ends
